Why is the alloy tip intact, yet the cutting tooth has fractured at the root?

In tunneling operations, cutter picks exhibit a wide variety of failure modes. However, one particular situation often leaves construction managers thoroughly puzzled: although the carbide tip of a cutter pick remains in excellent condition and its wear is still within acceptable limits, the entire tooth body suddenly fractures at the root. This phenomenon not only leads to the premature scrapping of cutter picks but also poses a hidden threat to equipment integrity and construction efficiency.
