Mining Cutting Picks – Application Cases
Customer Background
In an underground mining section of a Alunite mine in Xinjiang, the surrounding rock exhibits extreme hardness with UCS exceeding 200 MPa.
Previously used imported cutting picks failed rapidly, with up to 20 picks damaged within 20 minutes, resulting in unacceptably high tool costs and frequent shutdowns that severely impacted production efficiency.

Customized Solution
To address this extreme operating condition, Xinda deployed the S135 cutting pick, featuring:
Ø35 mm premium carbide tip
Reinforced ultra-wear-resistant protection layer
Design optimized for ultra-high UCS rock formations
On-site testing was conducted under real operating conditions.

Implementation Results
Performance Superiority:
Under identical 20-minute test conditions, Xinda S135 recorded only 1 pick loss, compared to 20 picks consumed by the competing product.
Customer Acceptance:
The outstanding durability and stability were fully recognized by the mine operator, significantly reducing downtime and improving excavation efficiency.
A long-term supply agreement was signed immediately following validation.
